My friend Sue gave me some tips and then I scoured YouTube for more pointers.
I'll show you what I've been working on once it's done!!! :)
In the meantime, feast your eyes on this amazing piece of art that Sue crocheted. THIS is the piece that inspired me to make my own afghan...
Aren't the colours and patterns amazing?? She made this 30+ years ago...and it's still fabulous today! |
Step away from the hook. I am only telling this to you as a friend. First its the crocheting. Then knitting. Then you have a passion for alpaca and bamboo fibers. Socks will be next. Stay away from sites such as www.ravelry.com or even www.lionbrand.com . It's for your own good. Now I'm off to buy some more yarn for the afghan I am knitting!
ReplyDeleteI am crocheting a baby blanket for my grandson-to-be. I learned to crochet from my grandma, she would be proud of my project. I'm sure she's in heaven smiling down on me.
