Frosty Gardens

We had some frost here this week.

I just LOVE the way that the frost becomes three-dimensional in the soil.
I thought I'd snap a couple of photos of the glory of below-zero gardening :)

When I was little, I used to get great joy from stamping these crystals down with my little feet.

Now I just look at them with a feeling of wonder that nature can create something so intricately beautiful.
